King Richard the Lionheart has left for the Crusades, the Sheriff of Nottingham is oppressing the people, and in Sherwood Forest a pure-hearted outlaw is hiding: Robin Hood. With his friend Little John and the eccentric Friar Tuck, Robin steals from the rich and gives back to the poor, defies Prince John and — thanks to the audience in the hall — eventually saves his friend, wins the tournament and finds his king again.
A theatrical reading for two: Luca Giudici narrates while Mauro Ghilardini sings and accompanies on guitar with original songs written specially for this show. The whole thing is seasoned with gags, quirky characters and a chorus that — as Ghila warns — «you'll all know by the end».
The show includes moments of active participation. In the one-act version: the «Enchanted Applause», in which the audience learns a magic rhythm that guides Robin's arrows to the target. In the two-act version «Il Coro di Sherwood» is added: each main character has its own collective response, and the hall becomes a living part of the story from beginning to end. Suitable for primary and lower secondary school.
A story nearly 1000 years old that still has everything to teach.
Designed for school audiences, the show keeps the narrative structure of the medieval legend but crosses it with lightness and pace. The Ghilardini–Giudici duo alternates comic dialogue with epic narration, keeping the audience constantly engaged: from the arrival in the square to the finale in the auditorium, it is a show built together with its audience. The original songs — written by Mauro Ghilardini — do not illustrate the story: they carry it forward, as troubadours once did. The show is available in two versions: a single act (with the «Enchanted Applause» as the interactive moment) or two acts (adding «Il Coro di Sherwood», in which the audience learns a distinctive response for each character).
