Astro is the last angel on the list: he cannot fly properly, he keeps falling, and God entrusts him with a star to hold in his hands. He spends much of the Creation — centuries and centuries — sitting with that star on his knees, while the world is born and stirs around him.
Then comes the night of the first Christmas. And God, who had forgotten all the others, asks after Astro.
A theatrical reading that weaves together the biblical cosmogony, the Annunciation, the birth of Jesus in Bethlehem and the legend of the fourth Wise Man. Luca Giudici narrates while Mauro Ghilardini sings songs by Venditti, De Gregori, Battisti, De André and an original text written together for the show.
Christmas from the point of view of someone who had always been waiting for it without knowing.
The show was born from the collaboration between Luca Giudici and Mauro Ghilardini, freely inspired by Montserrat del Amo's novel «Rastro de Dios» and the Scriptures. The narrative structure moves through Genesis, the Annunciation, the journey to Bethlehem and the Magi, keeping Astro's thread as an emotional compass. The songs are not ornamental: they open windows, shift perspective, carry Christmas where words cannot reach. A light but deep format, suited to parishes, oratories, cultural centres and Christmas festivals.
